Important Update on 2025 Grammy Nominations for "Tipsy" Writers
This newsletter is about the Recording Academy withdrawing 2025 Grammy nominations for the writers of J-Kwon's hit song "Tipsy" which was interpolated in Shaboozey's megahit "A Bar Song (Tipsy)." Despite the song receiving nominations for song of the year and best country song, the original writers will only receive certificates if Shaboozey wins at the 67th annual Grammy Awards.
